Dreikaiserstuhl – two rocks, one panorama
Small but mighty: the Dreikaiserstuhl is the shortest loop to the rocks of the Dörenther Klippen – perfect for an afternoon from Brochterbeck.
Orchard meadows with rare apple varieties and an apple-variety museum line the climb. At the top, two rock massifs invite you to linger: the Königstein and the eponymous Dreikaiserstuhl, with a glorious view into the Bocketal.
Through Nordic-looking woodland the path runs almost level before a partly steep descent returns to the valley. Leave the climbing to the pros – the panorama is reward enough.
